Shipping Policy
At Frogtown Cellars, we are committed to delivering our award-winning Georgia estate wines to your door with care and compliance. All wine shipments are handled exclusively through Vinoshipper, our trusted e-commerce and compliance partner, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations. We ship via UPS (Vinoshipper's standard carrier) and FedEx for select orders, depending on destination and availability. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and carrier.
Key Shipping Details:
- Age Requirement: You must be 21 years or older to place an order for wine products. Age verification occurs at checkout, and an adult 21+ must be present to sign for delivery.
-
Delivery Process:
- Orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days (weather permitting; we may delay shipments during extreme heat or cold to protect the wine).
- UPS/FedEx will attempt delivery on three consecutive business days.
- If delivery is unsuccessful after three attempts, the package will be held for five business days at a local UPS/FedEx facility before being returned to us. You will be responsible for return shipping fees, plus any reshipping costs.
- All deliveries require an adult signature (21+) and valid ID verification by the carrier.
- In-Transit Changes: Requests to change delivery address or date incur a $20 per package fee, plus any additional shipping charges.
- Tracking: You'll receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. Monitor progress through your Vinoshipper account or the carrier's website.
- Shipping Costs: Vary by order size, destination, and carrier. We recommend ordering in cases (12 bottles) to reduce per-bottle costs—shipping can drop to as low as $3.60 per bottle for full cases.
-
Alternatives for Delivery Issues:
- Ship to a business address to increase success rates.
- Redirect to a local UPS/FedEx store (may incur $5–$10 holding fee).
- Opt for "Will Call" at a carrier facility (free hold for five days).
Shipping Availability:
We can ship wine to most states, but regulations vary. Prohibited states include Arkansas, Delaware, Mississippi, Rhode Island, and Utah. For all other states, quantity limits and taxes apply (e.g., 144 bottles/year in Georgia, Alabama, and Arizona; no limit in California, Colorado, etc.). Full details and restrictions are verified at checkout—enter your address to confirm eligibility. Sales tax is collected where required.
If your state isn't available, consider visiting our tasting room in Dahlonega, GA, or joining our Citizen's Wine Club for local pickup options.
